TEN Relocates as its’ Video Conferencing Company Grows
The Elucidation Network Ltd (TEN) which encompasses an audio visual and a video conferencing company, has recently relocated into new offices following sustained growth. TEN Video Communications, the video conferencing specialist within The Elucidation Network, offers a complete portfolio of video collaboration, video conferencing and telepresence solutions.

Since the mid 90s when video conferencing first became a mainstream communications medium, room based video conferencing solutions dominated the market. However, in recent years two new rich media applications have appeared that have fundamentally changed the way in which business users employ video communications.
Telepresence: Although this is actually an undefined term, it is used to describe a more immersive video conferencing experience driven by multiple high definition video conferencing codecs. Designed for the ultimate remote meeting experience, this technology tends to be used in situations where a totally natural meeting experience is an absolute requirement.
Video Collaboration: Video conferencing and web conferencing (sometimes called data collaboration) on the laptop or PC. This form of video conferencing is much more convenient and lends itself to adhoc meetings so works well for dispersed workforces including home workers.
TEN Video Communications Installs Telepresence Suite for LifeSize Communications
In November 2009 Logitech confirmed that it intended to acquire the High Definition Video Conferencing equipment manufacturer, LifeSize Communications, for $405m in cash. With the added resources of Logitech, LifeSize subsequently increased its’ commitment to video conferencing sales and support in London. This resulted in LifeSize taking an office suite on the 29th floor of the Gherkin which it then equipped with a full spectrum of high definition video conferencing equipment. Key to this deployment was the installation of a Telepresence suite using LifeSize’s full Telepresence hardware solution.
The LifeSize Telepresence Suite is based on three LifeSize Room 220 video conferencing codecs, which are in turn controlled by an AMX control processor. Custom built furniture designed to give optimum viewing positions for video conferencing participants is aligned with 4 large format monitors (three of which are used to display video the forth screen displays data presentations).
As this was the first full Telepresence installation in Europe, LifeSize looked for an expert video conferencing integrator to assist them; TEN Video Communications was chosen and the installation took place in early July 2010. Now fully tested and commissioned, this immersive video conferencing solution is available to be viewed by customers who are interested in the latest video communications medium.
